Biography

Madison was born Holly Cullen^[2] in Astoria, Oregon.^[1] Her father traveled around due to work in the timber industry, and from ages two through eleven, she grew up on Prince of Wales Island, Alaska, near Ketchikan. Her family then moved back home to St. Helens, Oregon. She attended Portland State University for two years as a double-major in theatre and psychology.^[3]

In 1999, Madison moved to Los Angeles to attend Loyola Marymount University. To afford the money for college, she competed to become a Hawaiian Tropic model and worked at Hooters. Becoming noticed, this led to invitations to the Playboy Mansion. After more than a year of visiting the mansion, Madison was invited to move in and became one of Hefner's seven official girlfriends in August 2001. After all but two of his girlfriends had left in February 2002, Madison became Hef's "#1 Girl" and moved into his bedroom at the mansion.^[1] Hefner's two other girlfriends, Bridget Marquardt and Kendra Wilkinson, have their own bedrooms down the hallway. After all of her Playboy success, she was named among the top Hooters girls of all time in 2008 as part of the restaurant's twenty-fifth anniversary.^[4]

Madison has spoken openly about her plastic surgery, having had a rhinoplasty (nose job) and breast augmentation, going from a size A-cup breast to a D-cup.^[5] She has a lower back tattoo of the Playboy Bunny.

Career

In 2003, Madison shot a pictorial for Cyber Girl of the Week, a feature of the Playboy website. She also appeared on the cover and inside of the November 2005 issue of Playboy magazine, along with Marquardt and Wilkinson as part of a special pictorial promoting The Girls Next Door. The girls were featured again on the covers of the September 2006 and the March 2008 issues of Playboy.

In season three of the show during the episode "My Bare Lady," Madison stated that she wants to have a career producing Playboy spreads. During seasons three and four, Holly has been shown working at the Playboy studios as an intern and later a junior editor. She also helped design and put together The Girls Next Door 2008 calendar.

A self-described animal lover, Madison started writing articles about pets in 2006 for a friend's quarterly magazine, The Coolest Little Pet Magazine. She describes herself as "mistress of the Mansion pooches". In April 2007, Madison was featured nude in a PETA ad, alongside the tagline "I'd Rather Go Naked Than Wear Fur". ^[6]

Personal life

In the past, Madison has stated that she wanted to marry Hefner and have his children. During an interview at the Playmate of the Year luncheon in May 2008, Hefner stated, "I love Holly very much and I think we’re going to be together the rest of my life, but marriage isn’t part of my puzzle. It’s not a personal thing; I just haven’t had much luck with marriages."^[7]

On October 7, 2008, Madison announced in a video posted on TMZ.com that her relationship with Hefner had ended, but that she, Bridget Marquardt, and Kendra Wilkinson are "still filming stuff together."^[8] Hugh Hefner confirmed the breakup stating that, "If Holly says it's over, I guess it's over." Hefner also confirmed that all three girls are committed to a sixth season of The Girls Next Door, and that he plans to find new live-in girlfriends.^[9]

In November 2008, Madison began dating illusionist Criss Angel.^[10]

'Girls Next Door' Stars to Appear on Comedy Film

Hugh Hefner's three girlfriends on The Girls Next Door, Holly Madison, Bridget Marquardt and Kendra Wilkinson, will be broadening their acting credentials as they make an appearance on an upcoming movie produced by Adam Sandler's production company, Happy Madison. I Know What Boys Like, the latest offering from Legally Blonde screenwriters Kirsten Smith and Karen McCullah Lutz, is a comedy film that attempts to deviate from the Hollywood's typical male comedic duo as it presents a funny and sexy character as the lead.

Directed by Fred Wolf (Strange Wilderness), I Know What Boys Like tells the story of a Playboy playmate named Shelley, who is abruptly evicted from Hugh Hefner's infamous mansion in order to make room for some younger beauties. Homeless with no one else to turn to, her quest for employment leads her to a sorority where she serves as den mother to L.A.'s most socially clueless women. Together, they learn from each other and gain confidence in order to face life with a new perspective.

The movie, which is currently in production, brings together the stars of The Girls Next Door, along with Anna Faris (Scary Movie 4), Colin Hanks (Roswell), Emma Stone (Drive), Kat Dennings (ER), Rumer Willis (Hostage), Katharine McPhee (American Idol), and Kiely Williams (The Cheetah Girls).

Faris, who plays the disgraced lead character Shelley Darlingson, reveals some tidbits about the movie and her character as well.

"We shot with the girlfriends, and with [Hugh] Hef, and we have a big party scene at the [Playboy] mansion," Faris explained. "Initially [my character] gets thrown out, because she's just too old. There's no second-tier bunnies, and when it's time to move on, what are you gonna do?"

"Shelley finds a sorority of, well, we're just total misfits," Williams, who plays the shyest of the makeover candidates, added Williams. "We're socially awkward girls. And she turns us into bunnies… but it's more about being ourselves…she gives us so much confidence."

I Know What Boys Like is expected to hit the theaters in August 2008. Meanwhile, fans can catch Holly Madison, Bridget Marquardt and Kendra Wilkinson on The Girls Next Door, which premieres on Sunday, December 9 at 10pm on E!

Even though Holly Madison and illusionist boyfriend Criss Angel were spotted trying on rings in Las Vegas, the Girls Next Door star is not getting engaged.

E! reports that unlike costar Kendra Wilkinson, who is getting married to football player Hank Baskett in June, Madison was browsing the jewels at Berger & Sons Fine Jewelers inside the Fashion Show Mall.

However, a source tells E!, “They were looking at one ring and Criss said, ‘Would you marry me?’ Holly didn’t say anything. She just looked at him.”

The couple suddenly got shy when people started to form around the store and Madison quickly took the ring off.

Madison and Angel’s reps both said that they were looking for rings because it was for a gift.

“Criss bought Holly a ring for her birthday. It’s a flower ring,” Madison’s rep said.

So we’ll just have to settle for one Playboy wedding . . . for now.

Perhaps more famous for her physical attributes than for her talent, Carmen Electra managed to parlay a stint as an MTV game show hostess into a career as a TV and movie actress. Born Tara Leigh Patrick and raised in Ohio, Electra left her performing arts high school with plans to become a singer. After a failed album for Prince's Paisley Park label in the early '90s, however, Electra shifted direction. Along with her first Playboy spread, the aspiring entertainer scored her career breakthrough when she replaced Jenny McCarthy as the co-host of MTV's highly-rated dating game Singled Out in 1996. After the show went off the air, Electra successfully stepped in for another buxom TV blonde when she took over lifeguarding duties from Pamela Anderson on the syndicated hit Baywatch from 1997 to 1998.

Elektra moved to features with a bit part in the comedy Good Burger (1997) and larger roles in indie movies Starf*cker (1998), The Chosen One: The Legend of the Raven (1998), and Starstruck (1999). It was Electra's infamous several-day marriage to flamboyant basketball star Dennis Rodman in 1998, though, that further augmented her celebrity. Keeping her assets and tabloid fame in humorous perspective, Electra followed her role as what else, The Female, in the mockumentary The Mating Habits of Earthbound Humans (1999) with a self-parodic turn as the bodacious first victim in the hit horror send-up Scary Movie (2000).

The 'Good Luck Chuck' star - who split from boyfriend Cash Warren in July only to reunite in August - has no plans to marry now she is expecting her first child.

A source said:"She doesn't want to be pregnant in a dress!"

The 26-year-old actress had been keen to tie the knot with the 28-year-old film producer, and his reluctance to commit was rumoured to be the reason for their brief split.

A source said at the time: "She wanted to get married, but Cash wasn't ready."

But Jessica is now planning to wait until after the baby is born before she starts organising her big day with Cash.

Her brother Josh said: "We're all thrilled for them."

Jessica is planning to take an extended break from work so she can enjoy the pregnancy and the first few months of motherhood.

She recently said: "I've worked the last two and a half years without stopping. This is the time to do it."

It’s Green Week!!!

This was such a great idea. Ever since my character on Days had a “Green Wedding” I have been even more aware of all the little things we can do to help the environment. I now incorporate some of the things I learned during that storyline when I’m throwing parties or just in everyday life. So, I was really excited that Biggest Loser was doing something for the environment too! And happy to see how everyone embraced the theme this week. A little grumbling from Bill (justifiably afraid of going back into the desert with Jillian) aside, they all were enthusiastic about learning ways they can be more eco-friendly.

Now, at this point in the season, you may be asking me… do I have a favorite? The truth is, yes! I want them all to win! Seriously, they are all fantastic people, and I really admire the effort they are putting into this game/life-change. By nature, I am a root-for-the-under-dog type person. For example, I will root for the LA Clippers vs the LA Lakers every time. Every sport I watch in fact, I almost always find myself cheering for the losing team. Nothing is more exciting than a come-back! So in each situation here at the Biggest Loser Campus, each challenge, each weigh-in, I am cheering them all on! And nothing is more difficult for me in this job than looking someone in the eye and saying “you are not the Biggest Loser”. It seriously kills me.

We talk a lot afterwards about what their plans are when they get home. How they are going to stick to their diet/exercise plan going once they’re home. We do have a big advantage in Los Angeles, having health-food stores everywhere, as well as Jillian, Kim and Bob always ready to help motivate you. I travel frequently to different towns throughout the US, and sometimes it can be very difficult to find health-conscious food, especially in restaurants. But having the knowledge, is a big step in the right direction. Knowing what ‘healthy’ is, vs falling for the “low-fat” label on a package of cookies, can make all the difference.

I am really looking forward to seeing everyone again at the finale. I wonder how Phil is doing, Jerry, Patty, Jez… I think about all the contestants who have already gone home and I hope they are still working hard on their new lifestyles. I can’t wait to see them all!!

Brad Pitt says he is still friends with ex-wife Jennifer Aniston – and handled their breakup the best way he knew how.

"Jen and I still maintain a deep friendship and have a lot of life together that isn't erased in any way," the actor tells V magazine of the couple's four-and-a-half year union, which ended in 2005.

"I don't know how better to have handled [the split]. My view was, this was no one's business in the end – at least in matters of the heart," he says. "The thing guiding me then was, you don't know how many days you have, and you need life to be everything you need it to be."

Despite the intense attention to the couple, Pitt says he and Aniston did their best to ignore the frenzy. "The most important thing about that time was for Jen and me to figure out if – how do I put it? – if we didn't want to go on without any outside influence. Is this where we got off? Have we taken this as far as we wanted to go?"

Adds Pitt, who now has four children with Angelina Jolie: "Those questions had to be answered before an attraction to Angie could be answered."

Of his relationship with Jolie, 32, Pitt, 43, recalls fondly their time together when he was in Canada filming The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford, which recently debuted at the Venice Film Festival.

"Angie was pregnant. It was a very nice time for us," he says. "We stayed out in the woods by a river. We were in a big log cabin. So personally, it was a magical time."

And sad news for young Brittanie Mountz -- Gavin's got a new plus-one on his arm. Our source identifies her as actress Jennifer Siebel. According to IMDB, Ms. Siebel is above the drinking age (32, to be precise), is a Stanford Business School grad, and is breaking out with small roles in major films (playing "Younger Woman In Market" in Something's Gotta Give, and "Receptionist" in Rent.) One of daytime television's most beloved actresses and a successful author, Ali Sweeney is now tackling the role of host for NBC's hit reality series "Biggest Loser."

Sweeney joined the cast of NBC's "Days of our Lives" on January 6, 1993 at the age of 16. Sweeney has taken her character, 'Sami Brady,' from a rebellious teen to a devoted single mother with many detours along the way. 'Sami' has tackled a variety of controversial storylines including bulimia, date rape, teen pregnancy, and capital punishment.

Sweeney's performance has garnered numerous awards. She won The Soap Opera Digest Awards four times (1986, '98, '99 and 2001) for the role of "Favorite Villain" and the award for "Favorite Good Girl" in 2001. Sweeney also won the award for "America's favorite Villain" at the 29th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards. Sweeney can be seen on "Days of our Lives" weekdays on NBC.

Sweeney's television credits also include "Las Vegas," "Friends," and "American Dreams." On the reality front, she's competed in "Fear Factor," "Celebrity Cooking Showdown" and "1 vs. 100."

Sweeney is also an accomplished author. Her book, "All The Days of My Life (So Far)," was published in 2004 to critical acclaim. The book gives audiences a glimpse into Sweeney's personal life by describing her experience as a child actor, life on the set of "Days of our Lives," painful high school memories, and the struggle to lose weight and keep it off.

Recently, Sweeney tackled the role of producer and director with the creation of "In Tune," an on-line soap opera set in a music store.

Sweeney currently resides in Los Angeles with her husband, a California Highway Patrol officer, and their two-year old son, Ben.
